About Keen
Keen is a calm, ten-minute daily practice for the memory you use every day. This page says who makes it, who writes the guides on this site, and how we write them.
What Keen is
Keen is a brain and memory training app for adults 40 and over, on Android through Google Play. It works on everyday memory: names and faces, shopping lists, PINs and numbers, what you read, remembering to do things later, where you put things, and everyday maths.
There are eight games that adjust to how you do, each with 20 levels, a relaxed mode with no timers, and Think puzzles for reasoning. There are no ads and optional usage analytics.
Who makes it
Keen is made by Oyrial, a small independent software company that also makes other apps. You can reach us at [email protected].
Who writes the guides
The guides on this site are written by Riyad, who builds Keen at Oyrial. Riyad designs the games and lessons in the app, and the guides explain the same memory methods the lessons teach.
Riyad is a software maker, not a doctor or a psychologist, and the guides do not give medical advice.
How we write our guides
- The methods are standard, well-known memory techniques: chunking numbers, the story method, linking a name to a picture, and when-then plans.
- We say where facts come from.
- Facts about other apps come from their public store listings and websites, and each comparison says the date we checked them.
- We make Keen, so we say so on every page that mentions it.
- Each guide shows when it was last updated.
What Keen is not
Keen is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. If memory problems affect your daily life, talk to a doctor. The NHS has a clear page on memory problems and when to get help.
